What a fun time at the Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, TX. This is a beautiful state park that was once inhabited by some of the biggest creatures God ever made. . . dinosaurs!! We had a super time with the Cutler's -looking at dino prints, hiking, having a picnic table lunch, and swimming in the local watering hole. Then right when we were about to leave, Mimi, Judy and the cousins met us. We went to the Dino Museum across the street. They have life size dinos to view and an area where the kids got to do a real fossil dig. Everyone had a super time and we can't wait to go back-although we'll go when it is much cooler.

Let's Bowl, Let's Bowl, Let's Rock N' Roll!!
Skylar earned a free Strikz card for selling some passbooks as a school fundraiser and we went bowling! The kids loved it. They had videos playing on big screens at the end of the lanes (Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers and the like) and Skylar was dancing like crazy. I really do have to get that on video-it's pretty hilarious. Anyway, they did well and Trevor actually picked up his ball and tried to bowl. (When we went bowling last summer with Aunt Amanda & Preston all he wanted to do was stand by "his" ball and guard it!! HA HA) Hope everyone is well-

RoughRider Game to Celebrate Preston's 7th Birthday!
We joined the Cutler's for the last RoughRider game of the season for a little fun, but also to help celebrate Preston's 7th birthday. We had lawn seats so the kiddos could move around and Preston got to be a junior announcer at the game. Got some pictures of his name on the jumbo-tron as well as some pictures from when he was on the field announcing. Very cool!

Celebrate Smith!!
Every Friday, the children at Smith Elementary have a pep-rally where they say the pledge, sing songs and celebrate a great week of school. This past Friday August 29th was the Kindergartener's first Celebrate Smith. It was alot of fun and Trevor enjoyed finding "sister" in the big crowd. Enjoy some pictures!
It was like "Where's Waldo"!! Can you find Skylar?
Can you find Maggie?

FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN
Hello friends and family!! We had a great 1st and 2nd day of Kindergarten. Yesterday the kids went for about 2 hours with the parents and got acclimated to the school/their class/their teacher, etc. Today they had their first full day of school from 8:00am-3:00pm. Skylar's teacher, Ms. Beakley, could not be more precious. She is smart, cute and clearly loves the children. Thanks for all the prayers for Skylar to have a smooth transition to "big kid" school. Here are some pictures to enjoy.
Skylar and her best buddy Maggie are in the same class!!

The Construction of the Craft/Scrapbook Room
Well, this is my beloved Scrapbook Room and for all my dear friends/family who find themselves to be "crafty"-please consider this an open invitation to come and play! I was originally using part of the upstairs room, but quickly outgrew it as I continued to accumulate scrapbooking stuff. This room was the brain-child of my wonderful husband, who thought this would be a better idea that using a partial space of an existing bedroom. And I am so glad he thought of it. Now I have my own area, the kids have their own playroom upstairs and no one is displaced when they come to visit because they still have a fully functioning guest room. We loved our builder - he also layed tile in our laundry room and both bathrooms. If you need any home improvement work done, I can highly recommend him.
Thanks for looking-Hope to see you here soon!
Love,
Sus
